The E-Class Coupe Lives!

2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe Release date

Mercedes-Benz has showed us ALMOST all the new models for 2017. Some were surprises, others were expected, and some were unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. We have even seen some 2018 models. There is one area, however, that has yet to be addressed. It is the E-Class Coupe. The E-Class Coupe is a veteran member of the Mercedes-Benz lineup and there had been no talk of its demise, but still we were worried until pictures began showing up on the international network of digital networks. By the looks of it, we expect the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe release date to fall somewhere in the first quarter of 2017.

Coupe VS Sedan

It is easy to assume that coupes and sedans are exactly the same except for the difference of two and four doors, but that actually isn’t the case. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe is smaller than the sedan variant by quite a bit. In length, there is almost a 10-inch difference in length, a three-inch difference in height, and a three-inch difference in width, which is the real reason coupes are more sporty than sedans. It really has nothing do do with the doors.

2017 Mercedes-AMG E63 S Coupe

Traditionally, the E-Class Coupe is only available as the E400 and E550. With the recent reorganization and addition of a ton of new models, we have more than half a mind to get our hopes up for a 2017 Mercedes-AMG E63 S Coupe. It would feature the 4.0L V8 biturbo and would accelerate from 0-60 in less than 3.5 seconds. Whatever happens, we will have to wait 6 months to find out, but the point is the coupe is returning with the new E-Class body style.
