What’s New in the Design and Performance of the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe?

Featuring an optional 2+2 seating arrangement, the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe is a masterpiece of aesthetics, where each graceful contour and bold element is meticulously crafted to elevate both the car’s performance and your comfort. This is one of the many reasons the 2024 GT Coupe is esteemed as an AMG flagship vehicle.

Design

Smooth, fluid lines define the AMG brand’s fresh profile, sculpted to eliminate every sharp edge, including the streamlined door handles and AMG-branded alloy wheels, ensuring the coupe’s purpose is unmistakable. Its body is a sophisticated blend of aluminum, steel, magnesium, and fiber composites engineered to provide exceptional strength with minimal weight.

The outcome is an aerodynamic masterpiece, enhanced by the dynamic AIRPANEL active air control system and an automatically adjustable rear spoiler that responds to driving conditions. With the standard inclusion of the fully adaptable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, the vehicle maintains unwavering stability and responsiveness regardless of the terrain or weather conditions.

Performance

The GT Coupe is presented in two models, each with a handcrafted AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo engine. In the AMG GT 55 model, this engine generates an impressive 469 hp of power and a robust 516 lb.-ft. of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 in 3.8 seconds.

On the other hand, the AMG GT 63 variant boasts a formidable 577 hp of engine power and a substantial 590 lb.-ft. of torque, propelling it from 0 to 60 in a remarkable 3.1 seconds.

Both models benefit from the seamless power conversion facilitated by the AMG SPEEDSHIFT® MCT 9G transmission, which minimizes shift times and optimally translates accelerator inputs.

Furthermore, they come equipped with standard features such as the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension, electronically controlled rear limited-slip differential, active rear-axle steering, and six AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving modes, enhancing their overall performance and agility.
