While the many different body styles of the 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class provides a unique versatility, this can still be a point of frustration for those who now need to decide which style they are more interested in. You know the E-Class is a solid vehicle, you know you want the latest 2019 version. But do you get the coupe or the cabriolet? Let’s find out where these two styles differ.
If you were hoping for a different engine to help you determine which model is right for you, that may not be the right way to decide. You’ll have the same 3.0L V6 biturbo engine on the base trims of both the coupe and cabriolet. On the bright side, you’ll have 362 horsepower and 369 lb.-ft. of torque to enjoy, no matter which style you choose.

There are a few differences between the Coupe and the Cabriolet. First off, you’ll actually have a bit more space in the Coupe, though many of the dimensions between the two vehicles are the same. However, when it comes to front headroom, rear shoulder room, and cargo volume, you’ll have the slightest bit more space in the Coupe than in the Cabriolet.
Despite offering more room, the Coupe also will accelerate .1 seconds faster than the Cabriolet. However, what vehicle you get ultimately depends on whether or not you want to be able to drive with the top of the vehicle down. You’ll have the same power, mostly the same space, and a slight difference in acceleration. However, if these small differences pale in comparison to you wanting the style of a cabriolet instead of a coupe, then you might want to go with the E-Class Cabriolet, as there really aren’t as many differences between the two as you might think.
Don’t forget that all of these features and specs were taken from the lowest trims of both the E-Class Coupe and the Cabriolet. So, these features might change if you go for a higher trim.
