Engineered with pioneering technologies, the AMG® GT R as designed with the racetrack in the mind. The coupe’s exhilarating, straight line performance is a result of intelligent lightweight construction, a handcrafted AMG® 4.0L V8 biturbo engine, and a specifically-adapted seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Other track performance enhancements include an adjustable coilover suspension, active rear-wheel steering, a 9-way adjustable AMG® TRACTION CONTROL system, and an electronic limited-slip differential.

The 2018 Mercedes-AMG® GT R delivers an incredible 577 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque with a top speed of 198 mph. The sports coupe accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and boasts a 7:10.9 lap at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

“I’m absolutely blown away not only by how well this car handles and attacks the racetrack but also by how easy it is to drive quickly and aggressively,” said Mac Morrison, Executive Editor of AUTOMOBILE. “This is one of my favorite cars in years.”
