What’s new with the 2018 S-Class?

Mercedes-Benz recently revealed the redesigned 2018 S-Class at the Shanghai Auto Show. Today we’re going to take a look at what this new model has to offer including how it differs from the previous edition. The 2018 S-Class has a number of changes in design details, performance capabilities, technology features and more.

What does the 2018 S-Class look like?

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class has some stunning design upgrades to explore. All models are fitted with a new grille that features vertical strips and a high-gloss black finish. The S-Class also offers an LED Intelligent Light System with Ultra Wide Beam, Road Surface Scan and curve-tilting function. The LED taillights have been redesigned and their shapes are reminiscent of crystal jewels that stand at the rear and ensure a characteristic design both by day and by night.
The interior also has some new innovative features. The S-Class has two, new high-resolution displays, each with a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches. The two displays are under a shared glass cover. This wide-screen cockpit contains a large display with virtual instruments that are always in arms reach. The driver can also configure the information and views depending on what is relevant to them.
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class model range now includes the S 450 and S 450 4MATIC with a 3.0-liter V6 biturbo engine that produces 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. There is also a new 4.0-liter V8 option that produces 462 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. This engine comes with the S 560 and the S 560 4MATIC.
