All-New Design

The redesigned 2019 CLS Coupe ushers in the new Mercedes-Benz design idiom—distinguished by clear contours and reduced body lines for a smoother, more aerodynamic exterior.

The coupe also features new model-specific design elements such as a forward-slanting front section, a grille contour that widens towards the base, wide, low-set headlights, and two-section taillamps.

The exterior updates truly set the CLS Coupe apart from the previous generations, yet the third-generation still reflects the iconic aura of the first CLS that created a new segment and quickly became a design icon.

Engine Specs

Under the hood, the 2019 CLS Coupe boasts a brand new in-line six-cylinder engine. An electrified engine with EQ Boost and a 48-volt onboard electrical system powers both the CLS 450 and CLS 450 4MATIC®. The powertrain produces a heart-pounding 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, and can even deliver an additional 21 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque over short periods via EQ Boost. The 2019 CLS Coupe accelerates from 0 to 60 MPH in just 4.8 seconds.

Cabin Features

The 2019 CLS Coupe’s cabin was refreshed to reflect the dynamic changes to the exterior. The spacious, upscale cabin features a number of sporty design elements including a high-resolution central display, a fully digital cockpit, and newly designed seats. The coupe also features the new ENERGIZING Comfort system that debuted in the new 2018 S-Class. The system links various the vehicle’s various comfort systems to help put the driver in a specific mood based on one of the system’s six wellness programs.
