An off-road legend since 1979, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class has allowed over 300,000 drivers to experience adventures unachievable with virtually any other vehicle. Newly Designed Interior

The new interior of the 2019 G-Class is as luxurious as it is authentic. Featuring new design details and materials while still maintaining hallmark G-Class design elements, the redesigned cabin is a contemporary interpretation of the legend. New interior design elements reflect the new exterior styling, including air vents shaped like round headlights and loudspeakers shaped like the G-Class’s iconic turn signal indicators. Other new design details include authentic open-pore wood trim, high-quality metal or carbon fiber trim, and leather seats.

The SUV’s instrument panel also received a complete redesign. Two 12.3” displays blend visually into a wide-screen cockpit beneath a shared glass cover. The displays offer three different styles to choose from—Classic, Sport, and Progression. Drivers can also configure relevant information and views according to their individual needs. An alternative instrument panel featuring a large display screen showing virtual instruments in the driver’s direct field of vision (Head-Up Display) and a central display above the center console is optional.

Despite the numerous design changes, the new G-Class retains some of its iconic design elements that continue to serve specific purposes and give the G-Class its unique appearance. Traditional design elements include the distinctive door handles and characteristic closing sound, the grab handle on the glovebox for the front passenger, and the chrome-highlighted switches for the differential locks. The 2019 G-Class continues to combine off-road capability and luxury in one stunning package.
