If you’ve never heard of John Carpenter, maybe your father has. He is a film mogul that is famous for such movies as The Thing, Escape from New York, and Halloween. On Father’s Day this year, he will be putting on a sort of stand up, commencement speech kind of thing at the Mesa Arts Center. Tickets start at $50 and go all the way up to $270 for the super fans.
If you guys get hungry, go to RA Sushi in Mesa. It is a Japanese style restaurant with happy hour specials that last all day on Father’s Day. Don’t go for the drink specials though because the inventive sushi entres are unlike anything you’ve ever seen or tasted.
The name says it all! Take dad out for a round of golf and relax in the hot tub with some cold drinks after you beat him by one stroke, prompting a silent ride home. The best part is if you have too much to drink, just leave the CLA in the parking lot and check into a room!
