Mercedes-Benz produces some of the safest vehicles on the planet. And we’re not just saying that. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) agrees. The IIHS gave the 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan the Top Safety Pick+ award for 2021 C-Class models equipped with the optional front crash system. With this system equipped and the Exterior Lighting Package, the 2021 C-Class Sedan earned a perfect safety score. It earned the highest rating of “Good” in the driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, rood strength, head restraints and seats, and child seat anchor tests. With the Exterior Lighting Package installed, the Headlight category also receives the “Good” rating. With the optional front crash system installed, the 2021 C-Class receives the highest score of “Superior” in both the vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian front crash prevention categories.
Each 2021 C-Class Sedan comes standard with forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, driver drowsiness monitoring, and a rearview camera. Some of the available features include a surround-view parking camera system, front and rear parking sensors, parallel parking assist, rear cross traffic alert, evasive steering assist, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic lane changing, and a head-up display.
