Good news everyone! We are finally done with the Mercedes-Benz nomenclature restructure extravaganza! The SLK is history and the 2017 Mercedes-Benz SLC release date is coming in hot. How hot? Spring hot. Not only has the name changed, but after looking over the drool-soaked press release from Mercedes-Benz, the SLC is going to change the roadster game for the better with new technologies and intense safety features.

The Mercedes-Benz SLK has been the sidekick to the SL-Class since 1996. It was the perfect car for drivers who wanted some extra sport without dropping a hundred grand. For the 2017 redesign, the SLK has been renamed the SLC so distinguish the association with the C-Class that it has always had. Similarly, the GLK has been renamed the GLC to reflect this same association with the C-Class and the SLC. It kind of makes you wonder how the Mercedes-Benz names got so screwed up in the first place.
Mercedes-Benz has announced that SLC sales will begin in the spring of 2016. Last year, the 2016 SLK went on sale in July, so we expect Mercedes-Benz will stretch the release date out a little farther than the spring. That is, to get one from our dealership lot anyway. If you want to learn more about the roadster itself, simply keep reading our blog! We will be investigating this new roadster very thoroughly so that we know as much as possible before we get our grubby hands on one.
