How Does the Mercedes-Benz G-Class Perform?  

With EQ Technology, the new electric G-Class, including the G 550 and G 580, harnesses advanced powertrains that deliver next-level performance. Its upgraded inline-6 engine with mild-hybrid technology combines a turbocharger, an electric auxiliary compressor, and 48-volt mild-hybrid assist to generate 443 horsepower. Moreover, in the G 580, EQ Technology brings all-electric power to each wheel, offering an astonishing 579 horsepower and 859 lb.-ft of torque for maximum control and versatility.

Mercedes-Benz G-Class Drive Modes Explained  

Both the G 550 and G 580 also feature advanced DYNAMIC SELECT modes for tailored driving experiences. On the G 550, settings include ECO, Comfort, and Sport for on-road use, along with Trail, Rock, and Sand for off-road dominance. For the G 580, ELECTRIC DYNAMIC SELECT lets drivers switch between efficiency-focused Comfort, Sport, Trail, and Rock modes. Each mode fine-tunes suspension, traction, and driving response to match the terrain and driving conditions.
