Distracting driving is what takes your attention away from driving. There are three types of distraction:  

• Visual- Taking your eyes off the road  
• Cognitive- Taking your mind off driving.  
• Manual- Taking your hands off the wheel.  

Texting & driving is hazardous. Looking at or reading a text will divert you. In a study, the number of time drivers spent with their eyes off the road increased by up to 400% when receiving or sending messages.

You can be Safe  

• To be safe, put your phone away from your sight. Keep it silent so that it cant distract you.  
• If you urgently need to call or text someone, park your car off the road before doing it.  
• Remember to keep your eyes on the road.  
• Don’t multitask while driving, eating, reading, or calling.  
• Spread the awareness to promote safety.  

In the USA, over 3000 people were killed & about 430000 were injured because of distracted driving.

Distraction Can Be Avoided
