Takata Airbag

It may come as a surprise to find out that most airbags in cars around the world are manufactured by one company. That company, Takata, is now synonymous with faulty airbags when actually it isn't at fault. The company was just following orders of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that led to faulty airbags. Mercedes-Benz is just one of more than 10 companies that are now recalling vehicles for the Takata airbag issue.

It seems odd to recall a car that is more than 10 years old, but many different years and trims of the C-Class are to go under the knife. It is possible that the list will grow in the near future, but for now, if you have one of these models, make sure to bring it in for a service appointment as soon as possible.
