What’s the difference between Mercedes Service A and Service B?

First-time Mercedes-Benz owners might be surprised to learn that their vehicles are already scheduled to undergo regular maintenance even before they leave the parking lot. To help you better understand how we here at Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale, AZ, keep your Mercedes-Benz vehicle in tip-top shape, we thought we’d put together a side-by-side comparison of the two service packages so you can see exactly what is going on. Keep reading to find the difference between Mercedes Service A and Service B packages!

Service A

Service A is the very first service your Mercedes-Benz vehicle will receive. It’s scheduled to get Service A at either 10,000 miles or the 1-year mark (whichever comes first). Service A is repeated every 20,000 miles or 2 years thereafter. It includes:

  • Mercedes-Benz motor oil replacement
  • Oil filter replacement
  • Fluid level checks and corrections
  • Tire inflation check and correction
  • Brake component inspection
  • Reset maintenance counter

Service B

Service B happens either at 20,000 miles or 1 year after Service A happened (whichever comes first). Service B is then required every 20,000 miles or 2 years afterwards, alternating with Service A. It includes:

  • Mercedes-Benz motor oil replacement
  • Oil filter replacement
  • Fluid level checks and corrections
  • Tire inflation check and correction
