Before, or after, you enjoy your free meal at one of the restaurants below, don’t miss the Veterans Day Parade. Actually there are two. One in the East Valley and one in Phoenix.
On Wednesday, November 9th, Paradise Valley Community College will be hosting a barbecue on campus. For non-veterans, the cost is $5 for a hot dog or hamburger with chips and water. Of course, there is no charge for veterans and their families.
At any one of the six Abrazo hospitals in the area, veterans are invited to stop by for a free meal.
OSP is hosting a Veterans Day ice cream social on November 11th from 1:30 to 3:00 PM. If you haven’t been in the presence of The Mighty Wurlitzer Pipe Organ, we highly recommend it. It’s like the stereo in the E-Class in piano form.
On Veterans Day, Twin Peaks will be serving a special menu off of which veterans will receive one entree on the house. There is a Twin Peaks in Scottsdale and also in Phoenix, so no excuses.
These are all national restaurants, so if you’re not in Scottsdale, don’t worry, the deals will be waiting for you wherever you go.
