Setting up the Garage Door Opener

  • Before you start, park your car outside the garage to ensure safety. Turn on the vehicle, but don’t start the engine. Once ready, decide which button (first and second or first and third) you’ll use to control the garage door.
  • Press and hold the chosen buttons until the indicator light flashes yellow, which may take up to 20 seconds. Release the button, and the yellow flashing light will continue.
  • Next, point your garage door remote control at the button you’re programming. Press and hold the remote control button until the indicator light on your Mercedes-Benz changes. A steady green light means programming is complete. A flashing green light indicates that additional steps are needed to sync the rolling code.
  • If the light doesn’t turn green, repeat the process. Since your car doesn’t include a remote control, you’ll need your garage system’s remote for these steps.
