The Mercedes-Benz AMG® is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2017, which means there will be some extensive upgrades to the AMG® GT family. Today we’re going to take a look at the details behind this celebration that were revealed at the 2017 North American International Auto Show. This includes the upcoming Mercedes-Benz AMG® GT C Coupe and AMG® GT C Roadster.
Mercedes-Benz is expanding its sports car lineup with the AMG® GT C Coupe. The AMG® GT C Coupe has impressive enhanced driving dynamics. It will even have a special “Edition 50” model to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the AMG®. The AMG® GT C has a standard-fit active rear-axle steering that helps make it even more responsive. This system also provides a better balance of agility and stability, which are characteristics that are usually thought of as opposites.
The U.S. “Edition 50” model will come to the market with an exclusive production run of 50 AMG® GT C Coupes and 50 AMG® GT C Roadsters. The “Edition 50” will be available in the exclusive color option Graphite Grey Magno. It will also have black chrome headlights, fins on the side air outlets in the front fenders, a unique “Edition 50” badge on the rear and more exclusive design options. To make it even more appealing, the “Edition 50” comes standard with the AMG® Interior Night package, which includes steering wheel spokes, shift paddles and door sill panels finished in black.
