About a month ago, a Mercedes-Benz graphic containing secret future vehicle plans was leaked onto the internet. The Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster was present on this graphic, but the GT Roadster was not. What can we expect from a 2018 Mercedes-Benz GT Roadster release date? A GT Coupe with a soft-top roof, mostly.
The GT and the GT C Roadsters will begin arriving at dealerships next fall. When this happens, the Mercedes-AMG family will be a full house with five variations, not including race car versions. In order of price, we will be looking at the GT, GT S, GT Roadster, GT C Roadster, and the GT R. This is the most variation we have ever seen in the GT, which is awesome, and each one is faster than the last.
This is not the first time the GT was offered as a roadster, but it hasn’t been around since 2012. When compared to the current GT Coupe, the real major difference is the roof. The other major difference is that the GT and GT C Roadsters will be roughly 2.25 inches wider than the coupe variations. Currently, the GT Roadster is also being advertised with other special features, like the active air management system or the rear-axle steering on the GT R, that you won’t find on the GT. However, when the 2018 GT comes out, we expect it will come with these features as well.
Above all else, the Mercedes-AMG Roadster will be made to be more comfortable for Sunday driving. If you have any questions about the 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster release date, leave a comment in the section below!
