Best Dream Machine

Since its original debut in 1979, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class has remained a legendary icon. First brought to the U.S. market in 2017, the G 550 4×4² offers extraordinary levels of off-road capability, even in comparison with the G 550, thanks to three locking differentials, innovative portal axles, and a ground clearance of more than 17”.

Unlike a conventional axle, the portal axles on the G 550 4×4² allow for the axle input and the wheel center to be two different heights, enabling the model to go where even heavily-modified off-road vehicles can’t. The G 550 4×4²   is powered by a 4.0L V8 biturbo engine that delivers an incredible 416 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque.
