Mercedes-Benz recently announced that drivers should be expecting a big reveal at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. This reveal has to do with the fact that the Mercedes-Benz GLA is set to receive its mid-cycle update. Mercedes-Benz has been very secretive about this reveal, but we have a sneak peak at what you can expect at the 2017 Detroit auto show.
The Mercedes-Benz GLA first arrived in the United States in 2014. It premiered as a mix between a hatchback and a small crossover. It offered a sporty driving experience with a well-trimmed cabin and elevated ride height. This updated 2018 model is predicted to arrive at dealerships in the second half of 2017. To get drivers excited, Mercedes-Benz released a teaser shot via its Twitter account (below).
The teaser shot of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLA suggests that the new design will give this crossover a more rugged look from the front. The grille will have chunky vented slats with an emphasis on the front fog lights. Even though Mercedes-Benz hasn’t made an official statement, automotive experts have predicted that there won’t be many mechanical changes for this edition, because changes were just made for the 2016 model year. Even though we just have this one image to go off of, we are excited to see what the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLA has to offer.
