When does the Mercedes-Benz Stadium open?

Ever since it was announced that Mercedes-Benz would be helping to make the new Falcon’s stadium a reality, people have been wondering when they will be able to see it in action. The Mercedes-Benz Stadium is Atlanta’s new state-of-the-art sports and entertainment stadium and it will be opening its doors soon! Today we’re going to give you an exact date for when you can step foot inside this ground-breaking stadium.

How long did the Mercedes-Benz Stadium take to build?

The Mercedes-Benz Stadium will open to guests this summer with a series of events that includes the Atlanta Falcons pre-season football games. The Atlanta United soccer team will also be hosting games there, starting Sunday, July 30, 2017. This will be the first-ever sporting event in the stadium. The stadium will also host high-profile college football games, concerts and a spectacular celebration event. The stadium has been talked about since 2010, so it will be excited to finally see it in action. The actual construction started May 19, 2014 and it’s been exciting to see it progress.

When will the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta host the Super Bowl?

In addition to scheduled season games, the Mercedes-Benz Stadium will also be home to many exciting sporting events. This includes the Super Bowl in 2019, the NCAA’s Men’s Final Four in 2020 and the 2018 College Football Playoff Championship game. Some historical games will soon be a part of the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium and we can’t wait to see it all happen.
