Suspension of the AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe

We won’t leave you in suspense. The front axle has the AMG® four-link suspension, coil springs, and to make your ride as smooth as possible, gas-filled shock absorbers with the Adaptive Damping System. The rear axle has much the same, except it has the AMG® independent multi-link suspension instead of the four-link suspension.

When it comes to transmission, you’ll have the AMG® SPEEDSHIFT® TCT 9G. This is an automatic transmission that also has a torque converter.

Will the AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe have the AMG® Performance 4MATIC+®* system?

Yes! The 4-door coupe models will have the feisty AMG® Performance 4MATIC+®* system. This is an electromagnetically controlled system. That means that the vehicle’s rear axle is connected to the front axle. This gives an easier and smoother transmission to the drivetrain as you change from rear-wheel drive to all-wheel drive and back. You can also find yourself with more kick to the vehicle’s acceleration as you power through your drive.

If you decide to go with the Mercedes-AMG® GT 63 S, you’ll have an exciting addition of Drift mode, which can also be used in the RACE® drive mode.

If you have any questions about this feisty 4-door coupe then don’t hesitate to contact us right here at Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale. Our team is always happy to share their knowledge about the Mercedes-Benz lineup!
