These specs are taken from the lowest trims, so they might be subject to change if you decide to go with a higher trim. Still, even the low trims have some pretty admirable capacities! The 2019 GLS 63 has a higher towing capacity at 7,500 pounds, but the 2019 GLE 63 isn’t far behind at 7,198 lbs.

The GLS can seat more people with three rows, instead of the GLE’s two rows. If you have all the seats up in the GLS, you’ll have 16 cubic feet. In the GLE, you’ll have 38.2 cu. ft. So, if you are looking for the most space with all the seats up, you might want to go with the GLE. But like we said, the GLS has three rows, so if you have all seats down, you’ll have 93.8 cu. ft in the GLS. If you have all the seats down in the GLE, you’ll have 80.3 cu. ft.

However, if you are someone that wants a decent towing capacity and an SUV that is a bit nimbler, you might find yourself leaning towards the 2019 GLE. While it doesn’t have as much space, it is easier to drive in the city.

So, if you are looking for a vehicle that has a lot of space and a sizeable towing capacity, you’ll probably want the 2019 GLS. But if you are looking for something that can tow occasionally and is easier to drive in cramped quarters, then the 2019 GLE might be the right choice for you.
