The engine in the Mercedes-Benz AMG® GT is unlike any other engine in the world. It is a 4.0L biturbo V8 with a dry-sump cooling system and a "Hot Inside V" turbocharging system. This means the turbochargers are placed in in front of the exhaust manifolds instead of behind. To keep the "Hot Inside V" cool, the oil is then pumped into a separate sump, away from the engine, cooled, and pumped back to the crank case where 503 horsepower is made.
