How to Set Up Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™?

Using Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™, you can mirror your smartphone’s features directly on the infotainment display.

Activation via Compatible Cable

Ensure the vehicle is stationary. For safety reasons, setup cannot be performed while driving. Connect your smartphone to the USB port in the center console using a compatible cable. To start Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™, access the Device Manager through the Telephone Menu. Select the Settings Option and navigate to Devices. Find your smartphone under connected devices and select the Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ icon.

Wireless Activation

How to Pair Smartphone via Bluetooth®?

To pair your smartphone with your Mercedes-Benz using Bluetooth®, follow these steps:

  • Enable the Bluetooth function on your smartphone and your Mercedes-Benz infotainment system.
  • To activate Bluetooth® on the Mercedes-Benz infotainment system, access its Settings Menu from the home screen.
  • Click on the System Tab and navigate to the Internet and Bluetooth option to activate Bluetooth.

Steps to Pair Your Smartphone with the Mercedes-Benz Infotainment System

Once the Bluetooth® is activated, go to the Telephone Menu from the multimedia home screen and tap the gear icon. Select Devices, then choose Connect New Device to search for your smartphone. Pick your smartphone from the list. A code will appear on both your phone and the multimedia system. Confirm the code on your phone to establish the connection. After the initial pairing, your phone will automatically connect to the system whenever Bluetooth is enabled.
