2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 Coupe vs AMG® CLA 45 Coupe

Looking for your next luxury vehicle? You may have already come across the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupe. However, even if you know you want this vehicle, deciding which trim is right for you can be more difficult than previously anticipated. Trims of the same vehicle can differ dramatically, and the CLA only proves this. That’s why we have researched some of the specs for the lowest trim; CLA 250, and the highest; AMG® CLA 45. Now, we share our research on where these two vehicles differ.

For this comparison, we have stuck with the standard engine, power, transmission, and acceleration. You can find this information in the easy to read side-by-side comparison we’ve made. Now that we know a bit more about where this comparison is going, let’s check it out in the table below!

Power of the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupe

As you can see, there’s a bit of a difference in the power of the two different trims. While you’ll have a 2.0L inline-4 turbo engine for both vehicles, the AMG® CLA 45 is vastly more powerful than the CLA 250. That isn’t to say that the CLA 250 is weak; it has a perfectly respectable 208 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. However, you’ll see 375 hp and 350 lb.-ft. of torque on the AMG® CLA 45.

Likewise, you’ll have a 7-speed DCT transmission for the CLA 250, and an AMG® SPEEDSHIFT® DCT 7-speed transmission for the higher trim. You can see the difference in power by how fast the vehicle accelerates. The base trim can go from 0 to 60 in 6.9 seconds, which is pretty fast. Even so, this speed is cut dramatically in the higher trim, which can go from 0 to 60 in an estimated 4.1 seconds.

We know this is only a portion of what makes the two trims different from each other. So, if you have any further questions you can always get in touch with our team of experts right here at Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale. They would love to tell you more about the popular 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA.
