AMG® Engine Options and Output 

Two V8 options drive the 2025 SL Roadster lineup. The SL 55 features a 4.0L biturbo V8 producing 469 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft. of torque. Acceleration from 0–60 mph takes just 3.8 seconds. For those craving more thrill, the SL 63 elevates power to 577 horsepower and 590 lb.-ft. of torque. It hits 60 mph in only 3.5 seconds. Both trims include AMG® Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive as standard. This system balances torque across all four wheels for exceptional grip, even in challenging conditions. 

Transmission and Driving Mode 

Each SL Roadster pairs its V8 with the AMG® SPEEDSHIFT® MCT 9-speed transmission. Fast, seamless shifts are standard in every drive mode. The wet clutch design replaces the traditional torque converter for quicker response. Launch control is available through Race Start mode. Drivers can also fine-tune dynamics using AMG DYNAMIC SELECT. Settings include Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Slippery, and Individual. These modes adjust throttle response, steering weight, shift timing, and suspension stiffness in real time. This transmission enhances both daily drives and track-day excitement.

Chassis, Handling, and Braking Technology 

Ride quality and handling benefit from advanced chassis tech. The standard AMG® RIDE CONTROL suspension adapts to changing road surfaces instantly.
