The Mercedes-Benz recall centers around the brake-boosting capability of models within the aforementioned timeframe. Brake boosting is essentially a system that ‘boosts’ the brake pedal when you push on it. The end result is a brake pedal that is easier to manage for the driver and delivers quicker, more forceful stopping power for the vehicle.
Certain Mercedes-Benz models in this recall will require a pedal re-work, while many will simply require maintenance of the brake boosting system.
