2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB

What is the Mercedes EQB?

The Upcoming Mercedes-EQ EQB All-Electric EV: What We Know

We here at Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale in Peoria, AZ get a lot of sun. In fact, Arizona has more sunny days than any other state in the US, making it a perfect place for solar panels. In turn, that makes it great for electric cars. Solar panels charging an EV is a double whammy of green energy goodness. But, unlike the combustion engine market, there are far fewer EV options to choose from at the moment. That’s about to change! The Mercedes-EQ department has some cool stuff in the works, like the new EQB model.

What is the Mercedes-Benz EQB? Well, here’s what we know so far.

EQB Details

The upcoming EQB is based on the popular Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class SUV. It is slated to release in the US market sometime in the 2022 calendar year. There are no official announcements as to the battery pack that the EQB model will use, but some reporting outlets have speculated that it might utilize the same battery pack as the EQA, an electric model based on the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class SUV that has yet to reach US shores.

While much is still unclear, there are a few features and specs that Mercedes-Benz has confirmed for the EQB:

  • Up to seven-person seating capacity
  • Predictive Navigation with Electric Intelligence
  • Bi- or tri-color design light-alloy wheels, up to 20” size
  • ECO Assist dynamic power-saving system
  • 10%-80% charging time of 30 minutes with DC fast charging
  • Mercedes me Charge integration

We’re excited to see how this all-new model from the Mercedes-EQ team turns out!
